Our broad experience of building projects makes us flexible and easy to work with. We enjoy working with clients who value well considered building design and understand that this has an impact on our every day personal comfort and environment. Collectively our team has over 30 years experience in architectural design and management and have worked on many building projects ranging from small private house extensions to large public buildings. We consider each project on an individual basis and use our years of experience and practice in the profession to create practical proposals that are specifically suited to our clients.

Fermín Beltrán Dos Santos

Fermín is a Chartered Architect with over 23 years broad experience in the architecture profession and a passion for sustainable design. He studied architecture at Texas A&M University and holds an MSc in Advanced Sustainability of the Built Environment from the University of Dundee. He has had a full and varied career working all over the world in countries such as the USA, Peru, Venezuela and Scotland on public, commercial and private building projects. He spent a few years at multi-award winning Glasgow practices Anderson Bell + Christie and Keppie Design, overseeing large scale residential and commercial projects, prior to establishing Fife Architects with Lucy in 2011. Fermín has a strong interest in sustainable design and Biomimicry, which he has studied and researched in Scotland.
Lucy Beltrán

Lucy is a Chartered Architect with over 20 years of experience in architectural design and management. She has worked on many building projects in both public and private sectors from schools and hospitals to theatres and museums. During her career as an Architect, Lucy gained valuable experience working for notable practices in New York, Stuttgart and Glasgow, where she spent two enjoyable years working for top Scottish practice Hoskins Architects.
Lucy grew up in the East Neuk and founded Fife Architects with husband and business partner Fermin in 2011, to provide a fresh, reliable and authentic architecture service to clients who value great design. Fermin and Lucy live in Cellardyke with their twin daughters.
