The clients approached us with the project brief, seeking to redesign the ground floor layout for their existing house.

Their primary goal was to remove the outdated conservatory and redesign the layout to accommodate an open-plan kitchen, dining room and lounge, including the construction of a new extension in the place of the old conservatory.

By strategically relocating the kitchen within the current layout, we were able to optimise the space, placing the dining room at the center of the house.

The former conservatory space was transformed into a new, contemporary lounge as part of the modern extension.The main idea was to create a space that will have fluidity and not only have the open views to the garden but to physically open towards the garden.

This was achieved with a specifically designed corner Schuco door unit of the extension that opens up and creates a living room space within the garden.Even with that size of the sliding doors, the Schuco systems are designed in such a way to minimise the heat loss.

The new extension added a modern look to the existing house with the Russwood thermopine external vertical timber cladding and mono pitch roof.
