A lot has been happening here at Fife Architects since the New Year! It’s nice to take a breath and reflect on what we’ve been up to and why we do it…
New Office
Fife Architects have been tenants at 15 Station Road, St Monans for over 2 years now, (since the building by Roxburgh McEwan Architects opened) and this year we decided it was time to ask our lovely Landlords Angus & Kim if we could expand our office to the floors above our existing office space. Thankfully they agreed, and at the beginning of the year we moved our drawing office upstairs, holding on to the ground floor space which we now use for client meetings and presentations and to display our work. It was a great chance to design the interior for the new drawing office – we chose bright yellow Forbo vinyl for our floor as yellow often features in our branding and was originally inspired by the many oil seed rape fields you see in the East Neuk.

We are planning an open day soon!...Watch this space.
New Builds
this yearWe continue to attract new build projects with three new build houses completed in 2019 and have another three in development this year so far.
We don’t have any pre-defined ideas of a how a project will look before we begin – all of our projects are completely unique and are strongly influenced by our clients and project location. See below links and images of some of the new build houses we have designed recently.
Completed in 2019:
Steel and Timber Clad House, Fife
Oak Frame House, Fife
Red Pantile House, Fife
Planned for 2020:
Oak Frame House, Fife
Brick House, Fife
Courtyard House, Fife
More New Projects
We have several projects at the initial design or planning stage at the moment and were delighted to recently receive full planning permission with no conditions for a substantial house extension and renovation project in Fife, as well as two smaller extensions in Pittenweem and Anstruther as wee as a full house renovation in St Monans.
Although we are Fife based, we go where our projects take us and this time it’s re-designing an upper-extension to an A-Listed Tenement building located within the Unesco World Heritage Site, Edinburgh – we love unusual projects!
Coming up….
Open Day with pop-up Design Shop
This will be an opportunity for us to display as many of our completed projects as we can and to let you see what we’ve been up to!
There will also be a chance to buy some beautifully designed items for your home – watch this space!

At this time, our office is operating as normal, and we will endeavour to maintain progress on all of our projects as normal. Should you have any questions about our services, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
