In October 2019, Fife Architects attended the Home Building & Renovation Show in Edinburgh. This was our first time exhibiting in a trade show and having made the decision to exhibit early in the year, and after a few weeks of preparation we were really looking forward to seeing what it was all about. If you don’t know what the Home Building & Renovation Show is… it is the essential homebuilding and renovating event in Edinburgh. Organised by one of Britain’s best-selling magazines, the show is aimed at self builders and people looking for inspiration for their next project. The show offers a space for professionals and manufacturers to feature their work, offer free professional advice and showcase their newest products over two days at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh.
Over an incredibly busy weekend we offered free consultations and offered professional advice to anyone who was thinking of renovating, extending, converting or building their own home. We tried to speak to as many people as we could and aside from the many new and exciting projects that we saw, we met many potential clients. We really enjoyed the engagement and listening to the many great projects and ideas.
We really enjoyed the personal engagement and offering professional architectural advice. We offered free consultations over the two days listening and advising clients on their potential homebuilding projects.
Projects ranged from small extensions and renovations projects to multiple housing sites and potential developments. It really proved to be a great professional environment that gave us many opportunities to engage with potential clients whilst also also giving us the opportunity to showcase and present our extensive housing design portfolio.

With many exhibitors, specialist and suppliers available to offer advice the show proved to be a successful weekend and is something we will look forward to attending again in the future.
