We believe it is our duty to consider this mission on every project regardless of the size and believe we can achieve this with a little creative thinking and even using modest budgets. Unfortunately, few designers and even experts today actually know how this can be achieved in buildings. The first thing that most people associate with green and sustainable design is the added expense and practicality of "going green". Also, most think this is a 'trend' primarily associated with pricey 'renewable energy technologies' which are being sold to us as one-size-fits-all eco-solutions. Today, these renewable technologies are commonly installed on the side of buildings without any consideration for their overall effect on the building itself, its users or the environment; in other words… without thinking about their long term sustainability.
